R901G and R902DRM
Highly integrated EPC Gen 2 reader ICs
The R901G and R902DRM are EPC Gen2 RFID reader chips enabling battery-powered, small form-factor handheld and embedded UHF reader systems. The chips fully support ISO 18000-6C, and ISO 18000-6A/B as well as proprietary protocols are supported through the direct mode. Adding a simple low-cost 8-bit microcontroller completes a portable UHF reader system. In embedded systems, the R901G / R902DRM can share a common CPU with the rest of the system. Hence reducing BOM and enabling cost-efficient solutions with minimum form factor. The R902DRM also includes dense reader mode function, which prevents reading conflicts in a multi-reader environment.
Complete development kits including R901G reader boards are available. The kits come with demo application and GUI software with source codes.
Description:
The R901G and R902DRM are highly integrated
analog front-end and data framing reader ICs for 900MHz RFID
reader systems. Built-in programming options make the devices
suitable for a wide range of applications in UHF RFID
systems, especially portable and embedded systems, due
to the low power consumption and simple BOM.
The reader configuration is achieved by selecting the
desired settings in control registers. Direct access
to all control registers also allows fine-tuning of
different reader parameters, if needed.
The R901G and R902DRM comply with EPC Gen 2
protocol (ISO 18000-6C).
